Buffalo vs. tractor
Abstract
- The case was referred 3 days after trauma
- The buffalo was hit by a mixer-wagon for total mixed ration (TMR) during a manoeuvre (feeding time), and suffered from bilateral mandible fracture.
- The fracture was stabilized by skeletal external fixator (ESF).
- Five days after the operation, due to another hit with a tractor machine, the buffalo underwent a traumatic partial avulsion of left side ESF implant; for this reason, the latter was completely removed and a telescoping unilateral dynamic External Skeletal Fixator (dESF) was implanted.
- The course was complicated by a mild cutaneous infection
