Abstract
  • The case was referred 3 days after trauma
  • The buffalo was hit by a mixer-wagon for total mixed ration (TMR) during a manoeuvre (feeding time), and suffered from bilateral mandible fracture.
  • The fracture was stabilized by skeletal external fixator (ESF).
  • Five days after the operation, due to another hit with a tractor machine, the buffalo underwent a traumatic partial avulsion of left side ESF implant; for this reason, the latter was completely removed and a telescoping unilateral dynamic External Skeletal Fixator (dESF) was implanted.
  • The course was complicated by a mild cutaneous infection
