From gastric to gastric
Abstract
Mr. BC suffers from T2DM and a chronic Helicobacter Pylori infection. The latter condition evolves into chronic atrophic gastritis. The pro-inflammatory environment due to diabetes makes epigenetic alteration more likely to happen. The further occurrence of anorexia and loss weight, as signs and symptoms, along with the known diagnosis of chronic atrophic gastritis, lead to the hypothesis/diagnosis of gastric cancer.
